    Origin and cause determination.
    Evaluation of household appliances and their electrical/mechanical operation and possible contribution to the cause of the fire.
    Evaluation of the building systems (i.e. electrical and gas) as well as methods of construction.
    Interview witnesses and owner/occupants to determine involvement, whether intentional or not.
