Product Liability

TAI has the capabilities to test and evaluate a variety of products after they have injured someone or caused a loss of property.  Testing can be as simple as operating the product in its intended manor or as complex as fixtures designed to simulate usage while monitoring parameters such as temperature, speed, force, current and pressure.

  • Design Review
    Sometimes the designer of a product did not consider necessary safety features such as guarding against operating temperatures that can pose a burn hazard or sharp edges that can cut the user.
  • Abuse and Misuse
    Often times a user can become injured simply by not following the manufacturer’s recommendations, intentionally bypassing safety features or modifying the product.
  • Standards Review
    TAI has the ability to evaluate products against applicable standards, codes and/or industry practices for compliance.
  • Counterfeit Products
    Is the product that allegedly caused the loss actually made by the company represented on the label? TAI can evaluate key design features provided by the manufacture or compared with an exemplar to determine if the product is counterfeit.
